Orange shellac flakes
Description
Orange Shellac flakes is waxy shellac, the most versatile of all shellac is prized by furniture restorers for its golden brown colour. It is also the thinnest and fluffiest shellac flake in our shellac offering! It is used for restoring antique furniture and making certain temperature resistant sealers. It is used on bland woods such as maple to give a beautiful orange colour. Orange shellac is often used in combination with Platina Shellac Flakes and/or Blonde Shellac Flakes. Orange Shellac can also be used a as an effective sealer.

Shellac needs to be stored in a cool environment and out of sunlight. Once dissolved in 100% denatured alcohol(DAA), it needs to be used within 6 months for best results.
We stock the Shines Shellac Hardener to make shellac finish heat, moisture and alcohol resistant. This is the most popular and possibly the only shellac hardener used by renowned luthiers.

French Polish
A 1-pound cut shellac is 453.6g of shellac powder dissolved in 3.79L of DAA.
A 2-pound cut shellac is 907.2g of shellac powder per 3.79L of DAA.
Knot Sealer & Stain Blocker
Dissolve around 500g of Shellac powder in 1L DAA.
Sanding Sealer
Dissolve around 100g of Shellac powder in 1L DAA.
Once dissolved, the solution need to be filtered through a paint strainer cone or similar filter to remove any debris.
